Random January

Liam ate his first vegetables on Friday the 28th. Carrots, as you can see. He didn't really care for them, but was willing to try. At six months, he is now ready to start a new eating schedule, with fruits, vegetables, and even a little bread maybe. The take-your-breastpump-to-work-days are almost over. No nostalgia there!

January has been the month of ailments and diseases. Liam has had several colds, flu symptoms, diaper rashes, other weird rashes, a nasty cough, and some general discomfort. I have been lucky enough to share some of the viruses, along with some back problems and an eye infection. Whenever one of us is getting better, the other one starts up again with an entire new cycle of problems.

Every now and then I catch a glimpse of a new facet of Liam's personality. Even caught it on tape here (as he was being entertained by Frank). It hints at challenging childrearing dilemma's. But all that's for later. Right now we are mostly focused on surviving another month of winter and all its complications.

Might as well enjoy some of it :-)
